Adding a Polyline

Overview

This section covers how to add a Polyline to your map

Prerequisites

The Following Plugin/s need to be installed and active

  • WP Go Maps
  • WP Go Maps Pro Add-on (optional, but required to edit layer height)

On the Map editor of the of your selected map, you are able to navigate to the Polylines page to view, add or edit existing Polylines.

WP Go MAPS -> Maps (edit your chosen map) -> Polylines

To Add a new Polyline select the "Add Polyline" text near the top of the page or select the + icon and then the Polyline icon that appears on the map preview

  • ClickΒ on the map to start drawing your polyline.
  • Add at leastΒ twoΒ points
  • CompleteΒ drawing your polyline byΒ clickingΒ the end point a second time.

Line segments can be added to your completed polyline by clicking and dragging the transparent vertices
Line segments be removed from your complete polyline by holding the "alt" key and clicking on the solid vertices between the lines that need to be removed

Polyline Options

Edit the following options as required

Name: Name your Polyline, this identifies it on the Polylines page where all existing polylines are listed

Line Color: Grey by default, but can be changed by selecting a new color from the picker and/or entering the HEX, RGB, or Hue Saturation and Lightness values

Opacity: A value between 0 and 1 for example-> 0.8 would be 80% Opaque

Line thickness: How thick the line will be

Layer: Entering a value into this textbox will influence how close to the top the Drawing object is displayed in relation to other objects, the greater the number, the closer to the top it is displayed

Saving the Polygon

Select Add Polyline at the bottom right of the page, to save your new polyline
