Adding a Heatmap

This section covers how to add a Heatmap to your map

Prerequisites

The Following Plugin/s need to be installed and active

  • WP Go Maps
  • WP Go Maps Pro Add-on

On the Map editor of the of your selected map, you are able to navigate to the Heatmaps Editor page to view, add or edit existing heatmaps.

WP Go MAPS -> Maps (edit your chosen map) -> Heatmaps

To Add a new Heatmap select the "Add Heatmap" text near the top of the page or select the + icon and then the Heatmaps icon that appears on the map preview

  • Click on the map to add points to your heatmap.
  • Click an existing heatmap point to remove points from the heatmap.
  • Drag points on the heatmap to re-position them.
  • Hold right mouse to draw points freehand

Heatmaps Options

Edit the following options as required

Name: Name your Heatmap, this identifies it on the Heatmap page where all existing Heatmaps are listed

Gradient: Can be default, or blue

Opacity: A value between 0 and 1 for example-> 0.8 would be 80% Opaque

Radius: Determines how large each heatmap drawing extends from the centre

Saving the Heatmap

Select Add Heatmap at the bottom right of the page, to save your new Heatmap
